Are you interested? - Arashi Rolling Remix

Welcome to the first (possible) Arashi Rolling Remix!

The Arashi Rolling Remix would be a fic remix challenge, in which the participants play a game of telephone with the fics. Please do leave comments if you're interested in taking part. If enough people show interest, then sign ups will be open and timeline in general will be posted.

Please read this post carefully of the possible rules and the general questions and leave any sort of questions/suggestions in here! Please do leave a comment if you're interested in taking part and do share this around if it's possible so more people can be aware of this possible event!

RULES:

1- To sign up, you need a working email address you can check regularly.
2- This is an Arashi only remix. Only Arashi pairings are allowed. AUs and non-AU fics are allowed, however, no crossovers with other fandoms are allowed.
3- You'll be given a two week period to write your remix, with a minimum of 1500 words. There is no maximum word count, so feel free to write as much you're capable of doing so in two weeks.
4- You're free to change the characters/pairing/rating/genre of the fic that you receive.
5- Please be respectful to all authors. Do not bash the choices of the fic you'll remix in your remix.
6- Don't write any fics including rape/non-con, underage sex, major character death, or graphic torture.

QUESTIONS:

What's a remix?
A re-envisioned/re-imagined version of a fanwork.

What's a rolling remix?
A remix challenge that's like a game of telephone. It starts with a original fic that's then passed down to the next participant to remix and so on until all participants have taken part. You can read this page for more info.

How does it work?

1- Participant A writes the starting fic and sends it to the mod once it's done.
2- Their work is passed down by the mod to participant B without revealing their identity.
3- Participant B then remixes the original fic and sends it to the mod.
4- The remixed fic only is sent to participant C and they're required to remix the remixed fic.
5- This goes on until all participants have had their turn.
6- Once everyone had their turn, all the fics are posted but without any identifying information to which author wrote each fic.
7- Everyone can take a guess on the order and the author's identities until the reveals.
8- The author's identity for each remix and the remix order remains unrevealed for a week.

How does the guessing work?
Once all works have been posted, the list of authors that have taken part will be revealed. A post will be made here and everyone can leave a comment making their own guesses on who wrote what and the order of the remix. You don't need a DW account as anonymous comments will be enabled.

How can I participate?
You need a working email that you can check regularly as all communications will be done through emails. You'll be asked to include your username (either a DW, LJ, or AO3 account) in the signups so there will be a way to connect you to your works eventually when the reveals are done.

What are the restrictions?

- No crossovers are allowed.
- Don't write any fics including rape/non-con, underage sex, major character death, or graphic torture.

Where do I sign up?
If enough people show interest, sign-ups will be open and a post will be made about it!

How do sign-ups work?
You'll be required to include at least four Arashi pairings (excluding gen fics) you're willing to write for in the sign-ups. You can also specify the sort of fic you're prefer not to remix (ex.: not wanting to read a remix of a specific pairing, not wanting to write for a specific pairing).
However, due to the nature of this event and depending on the number of participants, this might not be taken into consideration.

How is the remix order determined?
The mod will try their best to arrange a remix order based on preferences. You'll be sent a fic to remix based on your reading preferences and will be asked to remix it for specific pairing(s) based on the mutual preferences of your writing preferences and the next author's reading preferences. Gen fics are always an option if you feel it'll be impossible to write for a specific pairing.

Can I include non-Arashi pairings?
No. This is an Arashi only remix, meaning only Arashi pairings are allowed. You can include other Johnny idols or celebrities as sub-characters in your fic, however, please refrain from including non-Arashi pairings.

There will be a period I'll be busy and I'd prefer not to write in it. Can I specify that?
Yes, definitely. This will be taken into consideration and given a priority over the preferences.

My turn came up but RL suddenly got in the way. Can I ask to get a later turn?
The mod will send you an email when your turn arrives, before sending you the fic, notifying you it's your turn. You'll be given 48hours to reply to ask for a delay before the fic is sent to you. You can ask for a delay then and you'll be put in a later slot. However, you can't ask for a later slot once the fic has been sent to you since you've already read it.

How do I send in my fic?
You'll send it in through emails. The required layout will be mentioned later on in the sign-up posts.

Can I talk to people about my fic?
Please don't reveal your fic or your identity before the reveal dates. You can obviously discuss it with your beta-reader if you have one, but please do so privately.

I have another question but it's not mentioned here?
Feel free to leave a comment here!

If you have any questions or suggestions do leave them here. Suggestions in regards with the preferences are very much welcomed.
As all Arashi pairings are allowed here (so in total ten pairings are allowed) and I want to keep it as broad as possible so more people can take part and to make a possible remix orders, I'm keeping it as at least mentioning four pairings you'd prefer to write.
What do you think? Do you think I should decrease the number or increase it?

All suggestions and comments are welcome! I'm becoming really repetitive, but again, please do leave a comment if you're interested so I can have an idea of proceeding with opening the sign ups or not.

Thank you! :)
